Re: Target shooting on public land
Years back in East Texas, the various paper companies had sections of land they designated as "usable" for camping, hunting etc. These parcels rotated. One could get a good set of maps. We spent a lot of time out on these lands over the years past. However, I believe these lands were turne...

Bandaids
I always hated to go ask Mom for a bandaid when I nicked a finger working on something. It usually resulted in the dreaded application of "Monkey blood", followed by a giant wad of bandaids

Re: Clearing Overgrown Land
If hand chainsawying or brush trimmer/sawing is the choice, I'd strongly suggest spraying the cut stumps with a strong herbicide (not Roundup for example). One's time is also valuable. Having to go back over the same area, like a road/trail, again and again can be worth a little extra $ up front. On...

Re: Looking for Armory for firearms Storage
Several years back, I had to store my collection, abet a small one, for several weeks during a flood-related house remodel. I asked around several of the gun shops but none would store them due to their insurance. I stopped by a small one I'd done business with in the past. He said he couldnt "...

Re: Ammo Cans
One of the catches I've seen on the gov liquidation site is in the proverbial fine print-- no help whatsoever loading/removing the items. Many I've seen are by the pallet(s) so would appear to require a forklift and large truck/trailer at minimum.

VHF Antenna Style ?
Marine VHF radio I've found two antennas that could fit on the boat. Its not a large boat or a sailboat . There is the base-loaded type. These have a 2-3" coil base and a small wire whip 3 ft or so in length There are the stick type. These look like there isnt a large coil base, but are thicker...

Alien Gear Cloak Dock Holster Mount- Anyone tried it ?
Anyone tried the Alien Gear Cloak Dock Holster Mount with their OWB holster ?
I'm looking for something like this pair that I can mount in the truck I"d rather have a holster I can remove and take with me vs a separate belt holster and mounted one.

Re: Motor homes
Rent rent rent first--
A number of friends who have large A/B class RV"s gave me that advice when I was considering one. Try a few close overnights in models/sizes similar to what you're looking at. Then, drive a few good long drives (4-5+ hours away)to see if the driving part fits.

Re: Public Forum Campus Carry
Recently saw the proposed plan sent upward from UT MD Anderson campus. Basically, the outdoor sidewalks , UTMDACC-owned garages, and perhaps a couple of the warehouse/maintenance properties are are open. The entire remainder of the campus is an exclusion zone. This includes office buildings (faculty...

Re: University of Houston - Releases Draft Campus Carry Policy
Im not familiar with the U of H main campus. Reading the list of exclusion zones appears to me to include every building on campus. Are there buildings that are not included in the list ?

Re: Beginer Setup? Progressive?
I've thought about reloading for a few years now and see more shortages on the horizon so now might be as good a time as any to jump in. have read here and there on it and see some recommend a single stage to start then get progressive and others say jump to progressive. I'd be looking for volume w...
