just checked my status, and was also prepared to be disappointed, just changed from Processing Application to Application Complete

I called the DPS today and they said they are awaiting background information to complete it........since August 18th. I live in Harris County btw. This call seems to confirm what I believed that the backup is with Harris County (from Ike as they claim) and not with the DPS. As I've seen August applications get their plastic which was obviously a non Harris county. Not sure what to do from here, besides just waiting

processing application for me, this is getting ridiculous 5 months now

paperwork was received by DPS back in mid June, status still says Processing Application. Harris county if anyone was curious
