Re: Automatic Bullet Feed

I've got one of the KISS ones on my 1050. Works great. It does speed up the reloading quite a bit. I've run lead bullets through it without issue. I clean it out every 5000 rounds or so. Most of the time theres not much to clean out. I load in an air conditioned space so the wax stays pretty hard. A...

Re: If you could have any five guns???

1. 1928A1 Thompson Machine Gun
2. Custom 1911
3. Suppressed McMillan TAC50 w/ BORS on a Schmidt & Bender scope
4. 4" Blued Colt Python with Narwhal Ivory Grips
5. Purdey O/U 12 ga shotgun

That should break the bank nicely

Re: So an honest Citizen can't carry and drive a Truck? Sec.

This is something I've never considered until now. I have a loaner form a car dealership while my car is in the shop. It is listed on the registration as a "Company vehicle". Does my CHL extend to a loaner or rental? I know Castle Doc extends to any property "under your control"...

Re: Flying with CHL?

Here's my procedure: 1. Place the unloaded gun and magazines in a pelican case with my name and cell phone on a tag attached to the case. Make a note of model and serial number (just in case you need it for some reason). 2. Padlock in both places for the case (do not use a TSA approved lock). Keep t...

Re: Anyone use Sean Cody for a Trust?

He setup my trust. Very easy, a few questions over the phone, credit card and an e-mail arrives a few days later with a PDF for the trust and word document for the schedule A. Printed them out, went down to the bank for notary, opened an account for the trust and it's done. One suggestion: Keep the ...

Re: another beating at a McDonalds

I disagree with those that would not have gotten involved. Had someone intervened right from the beginning the girl may not have ended up in a seizure. Had I been there, I would have done what the first person did, help him to separate them and then slug the first one to come back. If they choose to...

Re: Pistol Class from Gordon Carrol

I have taken his Pistol II class. I highly recommend it. After taking his class and some practice using his techniques, I shaved a good 45 seconds off of my classification time and made it to the next level (IDPA). He teaches folks how to evaluate their own shooting as well as each other using vario...

Re: Walther PPK .380

I like the Walther PPS for small gun carry (I use it when my 5" 1911 is too big - which is really not very often for me). Feels good in my hand and is available in either 9mm or .40S&W. I chose the .40. The gun is only slightly larger and I do mean slightly. I can also get different length ...

I'm going to have to stop watching if they don't edit out the daughter some more. The toys are cool, but she is just downright annoying!

Re: Odd Police Encounter

The sort of thing is why I have taught my wife and son to always call 911 if there is anything at all "weird" about any car attempting to pull them over. All unmarked police cars are automatically weird. Sure enough it paid off. An unmarked car (in very nice condition with appropriate gril...

Re: Bed Bunker - Safe in a Bed

SURELY you don't have all your guns, including your nightstand gun, locked in the safe all night? This safe is for backup/overstock. Actually, I need a bigger safe but don't have any place to put one. I'd buy this if the price was about a fourth what is listed. The comment was more tongue in cheek....

Re: Bed Bunker - Safe in a Bed

Oh yeah, my wife would just love me dumping her out of bed whenever there's a noise in the house (or before leaving to go shooting/hunting in the wee hours of the morning). I don't believe they thought this one through!

Re: Pulled Over by DPS

And that is why different speeds are well managed in Germany on the autobahn. Drive right is strictly enforced as it should be here. I don't know how many times on the Bush turnpike I have to move all the way to the right lane to pass the idiots who aren't even doing the speed limit (70). I really w...
