Now I just need a decent IWB holster for my 1911 Commander.
So long waiting room!...until the renewal that is.
Return to “October Application”
badlnb, did yours show up in the mail yet? I was hoping to find mine in the mailbox today, but nothin yet.badlnb wrote:I told you it wouldn't be long Bridge! Congratulations.
I don't know whats worse; Waiting for the background check and the application to be complete or waiting for the plastic to arrive.
Nobadlnb wrote:Well, Here it is, Sunday January 25. For the Kicks and giggles of it I went to check the DPS Web page to check the status of my application. Low and behold my status has changed from Processing application to:
Application complete - issuing license....
Oh happy day!
Well Bridge, how about you? did yours get complete too?
And we're just across the lake from one another. We also have the same state senator, Mike Jackson. I emailed him and my rep, Larry Taylor last week and received the following from Rep Taylor:badlnb wrote:Bridge,
It looks like both of our Applications got to Austin the same day. I will be interested to see which of us will get plastic first.
Never heard that nor should an instructor be propagating such information. Law says 60 days. If it's a day over 60 and you've heard nothing you should contact your state reps. That seems to be getting the best results.badlnb wrote:This morning, one of my co workers told me she took the CHL class at a well known place in Houston this past weekend and the instructor there told the class she was in not to "Bug" TDPS by phone unless it has been over 180 days. I told her that's not what I have read nor what I have been told. Has anyone else herd this?
