Re: NRA CCW Instructor class

I am a LTC instructor, SSC instructor and NRA CCW Instructor. the NRA CCW will work well with the LTC as a supplement. It takes elements of the Basic Pistol Course and the Personal Protection Outside the Home Course to make the 10 modules, along with an optional 'legal' module and the Course of Fire...

Paid the required replacement fee an received the new LTC with a new license number that was also different from my Instructor certificate. No big deal I thought until I took the School Safety instructor course where I had to present my L...

Re: Recommended First Aid training

[Pre-paid legal service] provided all of their instructors a Tactical Combat Casualty Care 8 hr course for free last year. I had previously taken a similar course a few years before. Re: CHL Presentation Materials...

The administrative rules quoted were last revised in 2008. DPS has since quit approving videos and guest instructors. You can't use guest instructors unless they are certified Texas CHL instructors. You can use whatever material/videos you think will be beneficial in illustrating the course material...

Re: Sirt Pistol.

I replaced the sights on several of my glock pistols and used the old sets for the SIRT pistol. Works great.

I also own six student SIRT pistols for use in my classes. This is a fantastic tool and helps new students better visualize and understand the concepts being taught.
