The administrative rules quoted were last revised in 2008. DPS has since quit approving videos and guest instructors. You can't use guest instructors unless they are certified Texas CHL instructors. You can use whatever material/videos you think will be beneficial in illustrating the course material...

Got this email from RSD today: "You have completed the initial part of the Instructor Renewal application process and we need no further documentation at this time. Additional instructions regarding “phase two” and the completion of the renewal process will be provided in email at a later date....

I replaced the sights on several of my glock pistols and used the old sets for the SIRT pistol. Works great.
I also own six student SIRT pistols for use in my classes. This is a fantastic tool and helps new students better visualize and understand the concepts being taught.
