Re: Frustrated with my Texas CHL

Frustrated with your Texas CHL? It sounds like you should be frustrated with your ride for not having any way to secure your gun. I disagree with your statement. My frustration lies with the Texas CHL law. Fifty percent of my time I can't legally carry. So, I have a 50/50 chance I would have my wea...

Frustrated with my Texas CHL

Frustrated with my Texas CHL First let me say I use my Harley-Davidson motorcycle for basic transportation every day, 24/7. I recently got my CHL, have had it for about a month, and I'm constantly frustrated with places that are off limits to concealed carry. Not only the places specificly listed in...

Puzzled about new gun

This is a silly observation but I wonder why GLOCK included two (2) empty cartridge cases in a small envelope with my new Glock 23. The envelope has model/serial number caliber, Date, and technician name on it.

Re: August Applications

Hello everyone :tiphat: mind if I pull up a chair I'll second that. I went by the local Drivers License office in Hurst and picked up a postcard requesting an application and mailed it to Austin. When I received the application packet back I went looking for a class and found Crossfire's available ...

Old ammunition

I recently became interested in CHL and firing my 357 magnum S&W revolver. It's been at least eight years, maybe 10. I found six boxes of ammunition in the garage. Some of them have water marks on the box and corrosion on the brass. I don't want to shoot this ammo but I don't know what to do wit...

Let my CHL expire now I'm doing it all over again

I got my CHL when the law originally went into effect. I was lucky then and got a full four years term for the license (some licenses were good for only 2 years before needing renewal.) It expired in 2000 and I didn't renew. I don't know; I just procrastinated too long in finding a renewal class and...

Re: Is there a comfortable way to carry?

I wonder why nobody has mentioned a fanny pack. That's what I use to carry a S&W snubnosed .357 mag. From http://www.chuckhawks.com/concealed_carry.htm comes " My favorite way to carry guns of this size is a large fanny pack (that is, a fanny pack designed to carry a concealed gun). Most ma...
