super,
I have been there 2 times and I would like to go more. It is some 46 miles from my home. I like since it is super quiet. This weekend, I may go to shoot with those guys http://www.ntpshooters.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
This week it is 7 stages, 1 more than usual.
BTW, Going early is 10x better, cooler. Usually, I am there by 7:00 AM and leave by 10:00 AM.

AEA wrote:Cool. The place looks nice and clean and grass is kept mowed well.
If it were mine, I would put a few more tables under the awning.
I wonder if a spinning target (picture attached) is considered steel? I kinda doubt it, but would like to know what others think. I think he is talking about steel plates being banned.
Thanks for the pictures! You need to do something about that acne on your face!

Re: Shooting Air Rifle in NTX
We have been there between 7:15 and 10:00 AM.
We had tons of fun. 2 More shooters came around 9:30 AM and they waited till we are done.
Me, Pinging!

"Guest" Shooter, trying his luck

Down the range:

A bit closer:

Target like at 15-20 yard, bring it on target stand cost $14 from Academy.

Our little helper:

Close up and little smile for the Camera, cost me $4 more for his mug shots!:

Our setup:

Fixed 100 yrd table under the sunshade:

The "Bus":

The Shooter "shack" and the RV:

Notice for the shooters:

Two boxes:

Payment collection box with a slot, dropped $10!:

Video to come later, it was on a cell phone.

Re: Shooting Air Rifle in NTX
I am planning to be there tomorrow sat July 4th between 6.30AM-10 AM while it still cool and the sun is tolerable. I will have my friend as a guest. I will shoot and try to Zero a Gamo Air rifle and shoot my carry pistol.
Is there some shaded area? a rest area to stop and rest?
Please post some pictures.

Shooting Air Rifle in NTX
I live in Allen, Mckinney area. I acquired a new air rifle, a Gamo Whisper Deluxe. I would like to shoot in the open somewhere in Collin County.
Any recommendations?
Thanks,
B.
