I have wondered the same thing. In fact if you have an FFL you can mail a pistol legally.
You may claim that you are transporting not carrying.

I have wondered the same thing. In fact if you have an FFL you can mail a pistol legally.

How about mailing a pistol to an FFL? can't you do that?
