If find the use of tommy's original fannypack is the most conformable carry method. Yes it is fanny pack, but packs 9mm pistol with laser light and 2x Mags of 30 rds. There is a room for a wallet and a cell phone too. Deployment of the pistol is quick too. Who cares what others says about your out-of-fashion, if it works it works.Pug wrote:It will depend upon what you want to carry and where, but here are the options I've used...and I'm 6'2" and 275. I've used DeSantis (won't go there again),Crossbreed Supertuck (horsehide carrying a 1911 -- but the gun, given my build, was not a comfortable carry though the crossbreed was OK), and most recently a Glock 36 in a Texas Tucker (been carrying it for about a year and am quite content -- best $60 ever spent on a IWB holster).
Now {flame suit on} I do use a Merlin Pack from time to time. Yes, a fanny pack. Until I get motivated to lose the weight, the fanny pack is a great option for when I want to go more casual (walking the mutt with the Mrs. or working in the yeard, etc.).
The other method would be OWB Black Hawk Serpa, works great for OC at the range, or under a jacket in the winter.
