Back on the Duy to Retreat in the meantime...
This is something of interest to me. Wouln't one try to get away from any type of deadly situation if it is at all possible? Take for instance; you are in a car stopped in traffic and some attempts a carjacking. YOu noticed when you stopped that the shoulder is open before the car jacker. In my opin...

How about dangerous?
While this seems to be a silly prank at best, it could result in someone getting hurt really bad. If this is smokeless powder remember that it burns faster and just may cause just enough of a spark if ignited on hot pavement to set off the fumes from a leaky gas tank. I am not gauranteeing those typ...

I almost wished that I never brought this up now.
I am not anti snake, but I am anti varmint. I still stand behind what I did. I don't regret killing the snake and certainly do not regret the method I chose to dispatch it. If in the woods, I would leave well enough alone. I have two cats and a dog that kill the rodents around my home. :lo...

Four .32ACP rounds required to stop the threat!
I finally used my P32 .32ACP at an unplanned event. The good news is that the threat stopped after firing six rounds. Four of my rounds hit the thing I was trying to stop. Two days ago, my teenage son and I were mowing the lawn minding our own business when that mean snake in the grass menaced my so...

While were at it...
I think that now we are a vocal part of the tax paying voters, we should also press for open carry. I know that some object to it, but I would like to see it legal as well. Thank You

Dallas Fort Worth Area this weekend
I will be at a family reunion this weekend. One of the places I will visit with my family will be Six Flags. Is carry there legal? I am thinking that it is not. Are there any other pecuiliarities to this area while under arms with CHL? I may visit a museum or two in the process. Thank You John R. Fu...

My recent experience with Open Carry on my own Property:
I want to begin this message with the understanding that I am armed at all times at home whether open or concealed. Sometimes I carry open to facilitate gettings things done faster without worrying if I am printing or not. Once I leave the boudaries of my property, I am legal and concealed. I do not...

Is the Cythia Woods Pavillion in Houston Posted?
I want to take my beautiful and deserving wife  to a concert on Friday evening in the Woodlands. It will be held at the Cynthia Woods Pavillion. I am wondering two things here; 1. Is this facility publically owned by a govermental entity? Answer: The facility is privately owned. 2. If the faci...

Senator James Webb:
All: the following is a letter I submitted to the Editor for the Brenham Banner Press. Enjoy: Dear Editor: I am concerned over the lack of gun control in our nations Capitol. There must not be enough laws against firearms ownership much less bearing arms in such a place as the Senate Building. I won...

Police/Bartender Brawl in Chicago:
Tonight, my wife and I watched a tape of the fight between the off duty male drunk policeman and the female bartender. The policeman seemed to be giving more than he got in the fight. When the segment ended my wife was mad because I did not take the bartender's side of the story as one sided. During...

BSA and Concealed Carry
Patrick Stickler: Just make sure concealed means concealed. If they find out that you are carrying then you and your child might be thrown out of the troop. BSA is very concerned over liability issues particualry on child protection. It is silent on concealed carry, but could become very anti carry ...

Stevie d 64:
Look at what is happening right now on our very borders. If the National Guard of Arizona is not engaging an armed force, who is going to? We need to begin thinking about these types of issues, as I am of the opinion that what I just wrote about may occur. Thank You

What to do if attacked by a hostile military force in Texas?
More important: What are the rules of engagement that you are subject to when attacked by a foreign martial force ie... Mexican Drug Gang, or worse Mexican troops on our own soil. The reason that I am asking this is that there seems to be a reluctance to engage armed and violent forces crossing our ...
