Re: thanks for the tip on the $159 H&R 12ga...

The Pardner Pump & Hawk 982 both made by Hawk Ind in China. They are the same shotgun with a different style receivers and the 982 has ghost ring sights. Both are a heck of a deal. They have all machined parts, no MIM parts like you find on the 870 Express. All 870 accessories and parts will fit...

Re: Help me 'Tacticool' my Mossy 500

My opinion. The more you add to a shotgun the more weight you add and slows you down. That and some add-ons just make a shotgun harder to operate. A heat shield would be OK. The Mossberg brand is well made. I would say a good two point sling is a must. A sling is like a holster for a handgun. A thre...

Re: Help me 'Tacticool' my Mossy 500

It is best to keep it simple. A flashlight and mount, 2 point sling and maybe a tritium bead sight. I would say put a oversize Vang metal safety on it but you have a pistol grip stock which makes it hard to use the safety. Get to know it well before you start adding things. Pattern test it to see wh...

Re: AK Handguard question

There are three quad rail hand guards made by UTG: a standard barrel, one for a heavy barrel and one for the Yugo AKs. I believe the one for the heavy barrel will also fit the standard barrel. They are all very well made and you will be pleased. Do a google search many sale these UTG rail systems. S...

Re: IAC Hawk shotgun

How do you like it. They are a lot of gun for the money. Here are a few good upgrades you can do. You can replace the slot mount screws on the ghost ring sights with better socket head screws. The size is metric M4 X 0.7mm They are a common size and you can find them at most hardware stores. You may...

Re: Changing uppers from to a "flat top"

I for one don't agree that you need to match the parts up. A good quality upper and bolt & carrier will give you an accurate rifle.

If you are building a super accurate target rifle then I would say have a custom bbl made with a match chamber and have the bolt fitted for that barrel.

Just sale the one you have and buy a flat. There are many manufactures of quality uppers to choose from

MGI Military make a very good advanced upper design. It has a quick change barrel system. They are fast easy and accurate.

Re: Benelli M4 and the law

Unfortunately, there is a Federal restriction on all imported shotguns imported after 1990. It is illegal to add a mag tube extension increasing the mag tube capacity past 5 rounds. If you do you have to follow the law of 10 US made parts. US CFR (Code of Federal Regulations) Part 178.39 § 178.39 As...

Re: IAC Hawk shotgun

They are very well made shotguns. They are not as refined looking as a 870. They have more of a Military Tactical shotgun look to them, which I like. Thick hardened high carbon steel receiver, Machine extractor, metal trigger guard, nice set of ghost ring sights. Just have your local dealer order yo...
