Re: 3 URGENT ACTION ITEMS: CAMPUS-CARRY
The guy I talked to at Rep Bohac's office (Chris?) mentioned that the Rep had gotten a lot of constituent calls concerning dorms specifically. He said that Bohac has every intention of voting for the bill, but could not keep his co-authorship due to constituent pressure. Maybe the person who answere...

Re: Concealed Campus- More Garbage from Univ. Star
...university campuses house students who need to feel protected Feeling safe and actually being safe are two different things. You can "feel" safe walking across an interstate during rush hour, but it doesnt make you safe. As with most any article against carry on campus, the word "...

Re: holster advice
If you are going to be carrying concealed, I would pony up the money for a Comp-Tac M-TAC holster: http://www.comp-tac.com/product_info.php?products_id=95&osCsid=m5337k69u9eiocf1848efe0q65 This is the holster I use, and it is extremely comfortable. I have no problem carrying all day (G-19, 1911)...

Re: Walkout at UT this Thursday
Those that have a holster...Should wear it like they did when "Students for Campus Carry" all got started... April 16th should be a day when both sides of the campus carry issue come together to remember those who died. Douva can correct me if I am wrong, but SCCC specifically DOES NOT ho...

Thanks, Keith. This is great to hear. When I'd checked the House webpage earlier they hadn't updated the bill status.
Come on Texas, lets do it big!

Re: Texas State
Sadly, this kind of thing is the rule rather than the exception. No matter how badly things will get, administrators, professors, and campus police chiefs will continue to cover their ears yelling "I CANT HEAR YOU" because to do anything else would risk their cushy retirement packages. One...

Re: Younger CHLs
I'm also 21. Took my class about a month and a half out from by birthday and got my pistol the same week. I thought I'd get my CHL while I was 21, but it looks like I'll be closer to 22 by the time I get it.

Re: May Applications
Well, got a call from my Rep's office today. Apparently the aide really chewed a supervisor's butt over the phone, and my CHL is supposed to be UPSed to my house tomorrow morning. Honestly, I'm not holding my breath; I've been told my permits been shipped once before. That and I'm sure UPS will try ...

Thanks for the welcome WildBill. I've been hoping all these "procedural changes" they've been making will eventually get applied to my application. Only time will tell, I guess.
