I carried open carry for years when I was LEO. I have on several occasions (because I was taught to TUCK the shirt tail in) dressed, tucked shirt in, strapped on OWB holster and walked out of the door 
I have always discovered it before getting to far in public or the wife has. I will probably be the one who is arrested and loses everything!
