Are there different adapters to choose from? I have seen the OPSol Mini-Clip.

Total different animal. The birdshead grip to me is a lot easier.pbwalker wrote:I finally picked one of these up today, on a whim while browsing the LGS. Call me paranoid, but I'm thinking after bump stocks, other things are going to be further scrutinized and it's cheap enough. Easy choice. I got the two tone, and it feels pretty easy to handle. I will try to get out and fire it in the next few weeks. I just hope it isn't as stout as the pistol grip Mossy 500.

Re: Mossberg Shockwave
I changed my forend to a Magpul and added a Sure Fire underneath the forend. I added a Fast Fire on the top. I used slugs and "sighted it in from about 13-15 yards." These are a blast to shoot. I believe it is sufficiently for the truck and my hallway (if I don't grab the AR first).

What mount did you use for your light? I used a GG&G mount and I am not really happy about the position or the light.Soccerdad1995 wrote:I added a light / laser to mine and I just fire it from the hip. I'll try to get it to the range for some target pics but that likely won't be until Tuesday or Wednesday.

Re: Mossberg Shockwave
The Voodoo Scabbard I ended up buying was for an 18" barrel. Having the Shotgun Card on the firearm it doesn't go all the way down, but goes in just enough to cover the trigger. I started using the Esstac Shotgun Card several years back. Buying industrial strength velcro from Home Depot for the Shotgun and the Card is easily removed if necessary.puma guy wrote:I'll check the space. I was at my LGS and they were installing a shell holder on a Shockwave receiver for a customer. I bought some mini-shell slugs and an adapter. Re: Mossberg Shockwave
I guess I ordered a different one. It is a Voodoo Scabbard, but long enough to cover the trigger. I am very happy with it.JRG wrote:Great buys on both the scabbard and the Shockwave!carlson1 wrote:
Yes sir. I found the same scabbard in Ebay for 17.99 and free shipping. I first ordered from Amazon and found it on Ebay so I immediately canceled the order on Amazon. The Shockwave was won on Gunbroker for $310.00 no CC fees and $10.00 flat shipping.
Edit: After thought I wished the scabbard would cover the trigger though.
I, too, wish the scabbard covered the trigger.

Are you getting the same scabbard as Puma Guy?

Makes sense to me. I like the scabbard and I hope you lost pictures when you get it all set up.puma guy wrote:No. I will probably cover it with a loose bucket seat cover with a vertical opening to access it. Soccerdad1995 wrote:Well it's shipped in a box in a delivery truck, then carried in a box by the delivery person into a retail store / FFL dealer. The dealer then transports that same weapon, in a box to the counter and either unboxes it for display or further transports this weapon, in a box into the store room. So carrying it in a box is probably OK. Either that, or there are a ton of felons across the country masquerading as FFL dealers and UPS/Fed Ex delivery drivers.rotor wrote:Mossberg site says if concealed it is an A.O.W.Jusme wrote:rotor wrote:After reading this long thread clarify for me whether this firearm will be legal (9/1) to carry in a guncase of some kind or will the only legal way to transport it would be with it out in the open? I can see the little old lady man with a gun calls now. I carry my shotguns in a case whenever I travel. This firearm may be illegal to carry in a case. More problems.
From my understanding, and I'm far from a layer, or legal scholar, this type of firearm, was specifically, designated to be legal to carry, due to its designation from the ATFE. I don't know that it was specifically, considered "illegal", but there was a question, prior to the bill during the last session. JMHO

So how does one transport this without scaring the population at large? Even putting it in a back pack would appear to make it an A.O.W. as far as ATF is concerned. We are going to need some method to carry this. I am sticking to my new Mossberg Maverick 88 but I am curious about all firearms.
Not sure what is so special about a box as opposed to a backpack or gun case. But if folks are really worried about it, I suppose they could refuse to let the FFL dealer put it back in a box at the store, then drive home holding it out the window of their car since it might not be fully visible, and therefore concealed near you, if it is anywhere in your car. Also make sure you don't put it in a gun case in your home, unless it is a cabinet with a glass door that is clearly visible from outside your house. Doing anything else risks THE RIDE!!!!!!!

BATFE was never in question it was Texas Law which has been cleared up and will take effect on September 1.nimravus01 wrote:I just picked up a Shockwave from my local store. Keep us informed.Out West wrote:Bummer. I've got a Shockwave in transit from KYGUNCO to my FFL. I'll call him tomorrow and find out if he is willing to complete the transfer. If not, I'll find out how KYGUNCO treats returns.
Given the confusion over this firearm's status here in Texas, if the transfer goes through, the Shockwave will never leave my home.
