Re: Who's running a dot on their pistol?
If I was a betting man I would bet five years from now every handgun will come with some kind RDS.

Re: Who's running a dot on their pistol?
Against my better judgement I bought a Glock 48 and a Trijicon RMRcc. Maple Leaf Firearms said they would mill the slide while I wait so after Thanksgiving I will have that done. On days that I just don’t feel like carrying my Shadow Systems Warpoet I will go with the Glock 48. I bought some of the Shield magazines that hold 15 rounds. So fifteen rounds in a thinner size pistol will be nice from time to time. The Shadow Systems is just so much lighter than a Glock 19 it isn’t as hard to carry.

I have a Sig X Carry and Sig X Compact. Both have Sig Romeos on them. As Mr. Cotton said above get the one you can change the battery without taking the sight off. I have had zero failure with the Sig Romeos. I have a Shadow Systems MR918 with a RMR. No problems, but you have to remove the sight to change the battery.
I will never go back to not having a RDS on my gun I carry the most. As I said early it takes a lot of practice. Live fire and dry fire. I am a C- student so it took me about 5,000 times of drawing, finding dot on target, and pulling the trigger. Palestine PD are using Glock 17’s with RMR’s and it is fast taking over a lot of the new recruits in many departments.
Carrying pistols are definitely moving to the RDS.

Re: Who's running a dot on their pistol?
I have a Red Dot on all of my carry pistols except the ones I pocket carry which is very seldom. I took a training class in February and it worked out great. It just took a lot of practicing to get used to.
