It fits in mine just fine, but when I load the en blocs, sometimes the rounds want to pop forward ever so slightly. I'll have to take one or two out to make sure they are all the way back. Something I will probably get the hang of with time.SF18C wrote:Thanks for the link!
He did state it will not fit in his Garand properly...

Re: like a 30.06 but just a little bigger.
OK, looking at my bag o' empties, I have shot a fair amount of the HXP in my M1, and didn't have any issues. Granted, I have only had it out twice, but it is the stuff the CMP is selling.
Empties, left to right: HXP 76 (wasn't going to dig around looking for a 77, have a fair spread of years), Federal AE M1 safe, Remington 180 grn. Core-Lokt PSP (shot from my Savage, NOT my M1. Just saved the brass.)

Re: like a 30.06 but just a little bigger.
HXP is what the CMP is selling. I got 400 rounds of the stuff from them a while back. I just went and checked, and it compares to the American Eagle M1 safe ammo about like that pic. Problem is, I don't remember if I have shot any of the Greek stuff out of my M1, or just the modern stuff. I'm going to have to go out to th garage and check my brass. Hold on.
