Re: Majestic Theater San Antonio--Posted?
I know it's an old thread but I just got back from the Book of Mormon and the sign behind the bar is the blue sign "the unlicensed possession yada yada yada." There were several Gunbuster signs around but we know those don't count.

Re: List price gougers here
I wish I had a quarter for every post I read proclaiming "never again" four years ago. Memories are very short. I remember this one from 4 years ago --> http://www.texaschlforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=8345&p=268555&hilit=bkjunk#p268555 70 bucks for a 50 count box of steel ca...

Re: would you ignore this sign (30.03 vs. 30.06)
This was an out patient surgical procedure that was previously booked and prepped for, so there was no way we were turning back. I left a couple of hours later out of a different entrance, and it had the same typo also.

would you ignore this sign (30.03 vs. 30.06)
I was taking someone to a medical office this morning. As I pulled up to the building I noticed the dreaded 30.06 sign. I left the G in the car and went in. While waiting, i thought i would post to 30.06.com. Thats when when I noticed the typo in the sign. So would you ignore this sign and carry any...

1st Renewal - 10 days start to finish
I just got my first renewal CHL in the mail this evening.
Sept 16th - submitted online at this link -->https://www.txdps.state.tx.us/rsd/contact/default.aspx
Sept 27th - plastic in hand
This sure sure beats the 140 days it took to get the original license

Re: Austin Capital City Comedy Club
Just wanted to post a follow-up. We went to the club last weekend and it is indeed the standard blue sign. There is no 51% sign at the bar and no 30.06 wording on the entrance.

Re: Austin Capital City Comedy Club
I know i am bringing up an old thread, but i am also going to the CapCity Comedy Club in a few weeks. I figured they would be 51% and then found this thread to confirm. However after checking myself, the TABC site says they are a BLUE gun sign. So how does that work, can an improperly posted 51% sig...

Re: Hornady LNL Promotion
I took advantage Christmas 2011 and got 700 rounds of free 45 acp (l-n-p and two die sets). Other than those 700 rounds of 45, I have only been loading 9mm since. I have about 5k behind me of numerous bullet/powder/primer combinations and I am still searching for that magic load.

Re: Kimber / STI - Which One ???
I picked up an STI VIP a few weeks ago from Shooters Connection. I like the extra rounds and the grip does not feel that much bigger to me. I have about 300 rounds of round nose (wwb and rem.) and 100 rounds of hornady ftx, so far not a single malfunction and the sites are spot on. I think this one ...

Re: My new STI-VIP report
Looks like a beauty. How much wider does the grip feel over a standard 1911? I measured both the STI and my Kimber just below the grip safety, with their grips on. The Kimber is 1.5" and the STI is 1.75". So while it is definitely larger it just doesn't feel that much different to me. I s...

Re: My new STI-VIP report
It's a 9mm, I had no problems getting 16 rounds in the stock magizine and 18 in my 126mm backup mag. I'll use the 140mm mag for some competition shooting, I was able to stuff 21 in there.

My new STI-VIP report
I was very good this year and Santa brought me a new STI-VIP in 9mm with two extra mags in 126 and 140 mm. I couldn't wait to shoot it and finally hit the Bass Pro shop range for the first time tonight. I only put about 200 rounds through it, 50 rounds being Hornady 115 grain FTX. I am happy to repo...
