Re: August Applications
Thanks Nighthawk...it was a long wait, but well worth it...and it wouldn't have gotten done without my state rep's help...I'm sure of that.

Re: August Applications
CW....don't wait, retaliate!!!! And by retaliate I really mean just bug the heck out of your state rep, and demand that they call DPS on your behalf. It's their job to help, and you need help at this point. Who is your rep? Send an email first stating your claim and the time frame. Then call if that doesn't get you anywhere. Good luck, and let me know if you need any help.

Re: August Applications
CW...this is what I wrote:
Hello Senator Whitmire and staff. As a member of
the senators district I was wondering if I could
ask for a little help. I submitted my CHL
paperwork to the D.P.S. offices in late July of
this year, and am concerned about the extensive
delay in processing the licenses. I have recently
(March 2008) suffered a stroke and was diagnosed
with multiple brain lesions which have left me
with some neurological deficits (extensive
neuropathic pain and a nice little limp). As a
fit 35 year-old man I used to be sure of my
ability to defend myself, but have become less
sure of that after the stroke. I was wondering if
you could place a call on my behalf to D.P.S. to
expedite the process to guarantee a timely receipt
of the license; the piece of mind is invaluable in
such unsure times in our great city. Thank you in
advance, and please feel free to call me for
support in any way.
