Re: Best 1911

Okay, since it has become a picture thread as well.

All Kimbers. The center is my favorite. It is an Eclipse Pro Honestly though, there are a lot of great brands and models out there. My uncle's and another person I know in the Sheriff's department here carry Springfields. Find what you like and can comfortably shoot. :cheers2:

You mean Kimber? I have had my USII for a long time, and never had any problems with it that werent caused by me, IE dirty gun. I have tried to cause it to jam by intentionally limp wristing it, and it has always functioned well. Shot about 100 rounds of wolf through it before I had to clean it due to it being too dirty to eject. Same thing with my Colts. Dad has a Taurus he bought recently that shoots well too. STI makes some very good stuff, but its way out of my price range. :cheers2:

I'm right there with you. I have three Kimbers and they work great. The only one I ever had a problem with was when the firing pin and ejector area had not been cleaned in a long time. Other than that, no problems, even with JHP ammo. But I am definitely of the mind set that you should find what fits for you.
