Re: PPS failure :-(((
Any update on a fix? I've put about 500 flawless rounds through my 9mm PPS. I think I worked the action enough after about 200 rounds or so that its nice and smooth. I'm considering getting the stainless guide rod replacement I've seen for it on the Walther forums. Seems like it would smooth it out ...

Re: Ruger's New Compact Pistol
As to the SR9 trigger, I test fired one at a gun range that must have been pretty recent because it had a pretty smooth trigger. I think they may have made some refinements since it came out. That range trip was the same time my friend put two magazines from the SR9 into the 10 ring (new shooter) an...

Re: Beretta PX4 Compact New for 2010
I own a full size PX4 C and I'm kind of excited for the new Compact. I find the full size to be just slightly too large to conceal comfortably, and it's just slightly too large for my wife to comfortably hold. I'm hoping the compact will make just that bit of difference. Then I'd have to buy it, you...

I like the video, and Ted Nugent for the most part.

Thanks for the replies guys.
Next question: how long does it normally take to get a new piece of plastic after you change your address?

Moving while waiting?
Hey all. I've been looking around here for a while trying to find an answer to this, but so far I haven't found it. Anyway, I've been putting off getting my CHL because I'll be moving in the next 5 months. As I understand it, the wait so far is exceeding 6 months. My question is, if I submit my appl...

Re: Patriots: Surviving the Coming Collapse: A Novel
I just got done reading this myself. At first I thought it was going to be a good PAW story, but I was tricked into learning more about preparedness while reading it. It can get a little dry at certain parts, as it really is a manual in novel format, but those parts are pretty small. In my thi...

I think you're sarcasm detector needs a check up there.AEA wrote:Seems like an overkill for 18 pills and 1/2 ounce of pot.
I wouldn't classify this as a HUGE bust.
Obviously these men were a threat to national security with that huge stash of drugs!

Re: Why an AR?
For me, the AR is about options. For $1000 I can get a very good, very accurate rifle (with scope!) that shoots pretty inexpensive ammo so I can get a lot of practice in. Then for a small (under $500) fee I can transform it into a much higher power rifle that would work quite well on any game in the...

Re: Bought my first!
That's a good deal on a new PX4. What caliber did you get? I got a 9mm. I also looked at the PPS, but it was a little pricey and has low capacity. Well, the PPS is entirely for CC duty. I like the PX4, especially this version without the safety sticking out. But I doubt I can conceal it that well.

Bought my first!
Just bought a new Beretta PX4 earlier this afternoon. After months of research on which gun to buy myself I had finally decided I would get a Walther PPS and then later get a PX4 to have a full size as well as mag compatibility with my future CX4 carbine. Then yesterday I saw in Bullet Trap they had...

Boy Scouts of America HQ
I was in the area today and decided to stop by the BSA headquarters in Irving to visit the scout shop and take a look at their museum since I've never been. Well, on the front of the door of the building housing both is what appears to be a valid 30.06 sign. For years in Scouts (Eagle Scout here!) I...

Found some 9mm, 380 ACP, and 45 ACP at Academy at Lewisville earlier this afternoon.
