Re: Rob us - We will pay for your college education
They do not understand the mindset of the criminal. The criminal has chosen this path, either because that was how they were raised (Big crooks breed little crooks) or they have chosen it as a career path. The criminal doesn't think like law abiding individuals. Crooks think that work is for suckers...

Re: Wife approached by panhandler scammer
Complain to the property owner. They don't want to loose the business and can give the panhandler a criminal trespass warning. Don't give people money or food, it only propagates their behavior. Many of the female panhandlers use their children as props to tug at the heart strings of nice people. Th...

Re: Guns Over Texas radio program
I just heard from Gary Montgomery on Facebook that GOTR has been cancelled by KSEV Radio. They are going to come up with a internet show. I enjoyed listening to them on Sunday evenings these past few years. They are being replaced with reruns of Michael Savage. I guess the ad revenue was not enough ...

Re: Unbelievably stupid gun owner!
Delaying getting a good attorney involved is hazardous. What can happen? The shooter can dispose of the weapon and claim that it was defective. The jury pool hears all the time that "guns just go off" without the weapon being examined by a competent expert, who is to testify otherwise? Doe...

Re: 3 Hoodie men kill Phillips 66 store clerk in shoot out
The only way to protect against an attack like that is to have the door locked and them buzzed in. If they are wearing a hoodie don't buzz them in. Sadly most 24 hour gas stations don't operate like that. Even if you know they are coming it would be hard to defend against 3 scum buckets attacking at...

Re: 911 Caller requests that no police be sent
I am so glad I don't work patrol anymore. I didn't realize that all the people's lives that I helped save by starting CPR, stop bleeding, helped breath, called for Life Flight, because I knew the injury was going to be more than our EMS could handle, were so upset I was there. I guess that they woul...

Re: 300 lb male HS student shoves 64 yo teacher to ground
It appears that the Education Code Title 2. Public Education, Subtitle G. "Safe Schools" Chapter 37. Discipline: Law and Order covers most of what the "student" did. Schools have a broad right to maintain discipline on their campuses. Sadly it is necessary to maintain order these...

Re: Question on private sale of firearm refund
I have dealt with small claims court on other things and it is easy to win, IF you are right. Most used items are sold as is, if there is no written guarantee. He would have to prove that it was: 1. defective 2. a reasonable person would have known this and then hid it from the buyer To prove this i...

Re: Houston father shoots and kills guest in daughters bedr
The 17 year old may have decided to fight with the "old man." I have seen too many 17 year olds that would fight at the drop of a hat. Lets face it most 17 year olds are in much better physical shape than the 55 year old father. Way too little information to go on. It is a sad situation.

Re: Video:Houston's 5th Ward drug scene + Fort Bend + Falfur
No place is totally safe. The Wards have a lot of nice people in them, but there are a lot of scum too. If you go into the Wards don't look like bait, look like a predator and look like you have a purpose and a reason to be there. It decreases the odds of becoming a victim of some criminal. I live a...

why on earth was her gun drawn just to serve a probation violation? esp if they knew that there were kids in the house? sounds like a death waiting to happen! "Just a probation violation???????" I am not going to pass judgement yet, but it would be nice to know what the probation violatio...

The thing I am concerned about for the owner is that the safe did not appear to have the proper explosive placards on the safe. The safe, could count as a storage magazine for the explosives, but the distance requirements from occupied buildings appear to have been violated. Looking at the safe it d...

Re: Eviction Notice
You have two options depending on what your lease is written like. Are you the only person on the lease with the land lord or is the room mate also on the lease. Are you co renters or separate renters each approved for occupancy with the landlord? Evictions and be expensive for the landlord for seve...
