As far as raising any flags, I think you should be okay with your purchase.

I'm back and forth on a .380. I like the small size but concerned about stopping power. I have had a couple of folks tell me they will CCW with a .380 during the summer, but will move to a larger caliber in the winter. I asked why. Was told that in winter, folks are wearing jackets and may slow down...

I've never really thought about Academy for a firearm purchase. I remember several years ago when I used to purchase the 9mm Blazer ammo for dirt cheap..something like 4.99 a box.

I had mine memorized too after checking every day for nearly two months.
