Re: Good HPD encounter
How about those new license plates? Makes me wish I would have voted on them when the state was taking opinions.... Kinda looks like Disney World threw up on them huh? My trucks have Farm tags on them, they are the same old boring bland plates they've always been.. That right there is enough ...

Re: Should I keep it at home?
It's very rare that I take one of my vehicles to a shop, I do all of my own work.. The only time I do is when it's warranty work, and I leave nothing in the truck. Even my service truck, it takes a few hrs to unload everything out of it, about 20 K worth of parts, and who knows how much in tools and...

Wow, That guy did a better job holding his tongue better than I would have.. If anyone spoke to me like that, I'm afraid I'd probably go off. If anyone did that to my face there would be more than words.... He did a good job... Although I didnt like his answer to the question of why he brought a gun...

Re: DPS Help Wanted
I had thought about becoming a LEO several times, I cant make it on what those guys get paid though. I've got too many bills that will never go away in my life time, all they will do is get more expensive... If it wasn't for that, I'd be all over it.... Now if someday I manage to meet a wealth woman...

Re: proper method
Either is fine, although using the slide release does cause wear.. Although really, if your shooting for tactical training ( not just out plinking, I never go out with the intention of plinking with my carry guns though ), there should never be a time when the slide locks back. You should always hav...

Re: attacked with pepper spray?
It sure ain't pleasant - but, everyone should undergo it just as part of any self-defense training/awareness. Heck - during a confrontation, you could get sprayed by someone 20 ft away on the sidelines with a fog canister thinking they are helping. I agree, I think anyone interested in self defense...

Thats one thing I learned about dating a long time ago... The first hint of drama, bug out!! If I hear more than 2 sentences about a ex within 2 months of dating it's the last time she'll hear from me.. Then ya get the whole " your the perfect guy, you treat me so well " line.. I stuck aro...

Re: Citizens on Patrol
I'm always a citizen on Patrol... If I want to help make a difference in preventing crime, I think it's my job as a citizen to keep my eye's open and report anything suspicious.. I dont need a badge or a hr's training to do it, plus that, I can carry my gun... I see what they are trying to do...

So I'm pumping fuel, then all the sudden a HUGE gust of wind came, which was odd because there was no wind period before t...

Re: DIY Pickup Bedliners
The best thing to do is send the truck down and have the bed sand blasted, then put your bed liner on.. I've got 3 trucks that I've paid over 500 bucks to have coated, they didnt prep any of the trucks, the paint under where it's pealing is nice and shiny.. They are out of business now, wonder why :...

I vote for the gel pack and a small cooler....... Or if your like me and like to make things difficult.... Get a small cooler, and a peltier cooler.. Mount the peltier in the cooler, grab a micro controller of your choice, bang out a quick code to keep the gun temperature around 80 degree's ( it can...
