I've been to 2 Houston gunshows at the Astrodome, and it was just limited to a table or two of collectibles.

Usually Market Hall was the same way, but on Saturday, it was pretty bad.

When I went to my first gunshow in Phoenix, a neo-Nazi wannabe got into a dustup with me, which pretty much put me off of gunshows for a while till I moved here.

EDIT: Spelling.

I didnt see anyone with a wand.

In fact, I actually got "in" without having my gun tied (I thought the checking table was after the ticket taker for some reason)
I popped back behind 'em and let 'em tie my gun. (While the guy pointed it at me while he checked and tied it  )

I don't have a problem with the tying with the guns, but I AM going to keep my ammo with me so I can rearm after I leave.

Another one-off question:
Does all the Nazi stuff at gunshows bother anyone else? There was a group of "people" dressed in full Nazi uniforms, with teh swastika armbands and all there when I went on Saturday. I usually wear my IDF T-shirt when I go, because I enjoy the nervous looks I get from the wannabe Nazis.

I went with a friend of mine who was looking for a carry gun.
Have to agree about some of the vendors, and their ignorance of rules in taking credit cards was quite annoying. (minimum charges on visa/MC/Amex is against their merchant rules)

Also, trying to wheel and deal with some of the more fantasy priced vendors was no fun.

My friend finally did find the gun he wanted, a Springfield 1911 Loaded at a decent price, at least.

I am a curmudgeon, and after havingmy ammo confiscated last time, I was ready. I had a handful of a friends' messed up reloads to hand them.
