Does anyone have an idea how long it should take to recieve my permit after the status changes to "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active"? My status changed a week ago yesterday, and I have not yet recieved my permit. I'm getting impatient.
Call 'em. Read through this thread; someone mentioned that they had his permit, but just "forgot" to mail it.

Seems like a real class act over there.
8 days and counting till I start calling. 9 really as my 60 day deadline day is on a sunday.

Received my PIN today. The letter was dated 17 working days after application was received. I guess thats not too bad.

It took the USPS 6 days to get the letter from Austin to Brownsville. They must be using the Pony Express again.
Awesome.
Now join me in my daily ritual of pounding the website, multiple times, daily to check my status. :banghead:

My 60-day "deadline" is March 19th. Wonder how far and how often I should bug 'em after that. I know someone in here said they actually have 90 days, but I plan on playing dumb.

I'd like to know how many employees are assigned to CHL apps. and how many they process a day.

That should be public knowledge; right?
You'd think.

If your time is anything like mine, you'll get your PIN at the end of the week.

(I'm "Still Processing", btw. Grumble)

It's approaching 3 weeks. How long before I should call to check on my PIN?
BTW it's my first time, and I did not apply online; I used a packet that was given to me when I took the class.

Is this your original CHL and did you apply on line? My wife applied on line for her renewal and the pre-printed application form already had the PIN on it. I don't know if this is the case with an original application, but if you applied on line and received a pre-printed application, I would think it would be the same.

Chas.
I didn't apply online, the CHL class I took asked us not to; they asked us to just use their packets.

Today would be one week from when I sent it. I'm just all impatient because my old out-of-state CWP expires in a little over a month/

I'm impatient!: How long should it take to get my PIN?

How long should it take for me to get my PIN?
I sent my app via certified mail, and they received it last week.
How long is it supposed to take for them to get everything together, and for me to get my PIN?
