I use the Hornady collet puller for jacketed bullets. For lead or small batch, I use the kinetic hammer type on a 2x4 end.

AA2230, R15 and Varget have all done well for me with 55gr and heavier bullets in AR-15 .223.

AA2230 measures more easily for me than R15 and Varget. R15 burns cleanest of these three.

Generally speaking, .452 for cast lead for 45 ACP and 45 Colt/454 Casull.

I cast the Lee 452-200FN for 1911 and XD 45. I size and lube with the Lee kit for .452.

I'm using AA 2230 for lighter bullets, <60gr.
I use H-Varget and Reloder 15 for heavier bullets.

AA 2230 is like sand.

Varget and RE 15 work okay in powder droppers.

Also, IMR 3031 for lighter bullets, and IMR 4064 for heavier. But no luck with IMR powders (regular length) in powder droppers.

I think the Lee hand prime is hard to beat. The Lee prime on the press setup is a little slow, and hard to get a good feel for primer seat depth, so I use the hand prime. Seeing a lot of testing of brass, Remington appears to have best on the market. But I use all brands.

I used Brasso, then went to Flitz. The brasso discolored the brass. Flitz takes a big squirt to clean my cases. I will try Nu Finish or Johnson's past wax and mineral spirits next.
