Know your breed of dog before doing this. I have read documented stories of people raising weimaraner pups with cats their entire lives. . . then one day around 2-3 years old, the weim hits maturity and kills the cat. Even if they appear to be getting along, some dogs have strong instincts and could view cats as varmints to be hunted. I know my weim could not cohabitate with another species. . . well, maybe horses or cattle, but my HOA won't allow me to try.Purplehood wrote:So true... my son has two dogs and a cat. The dogs ALWAYS defer to the cat, as she has seniority in the household.

I work from home and have a handgun in my office (upstairs). The shotgun is in my bedroom ready to go alongside another handgun. At the time of the invasion, five children were inside the apartment, and authorities said a gun was put to a baby's head as the men demanded money.
After their demands were met, the men then headed upstairs to commit a second home invasion, police said. A struggle broke out between the suspects and three men, all brothers, who were inside the apartment. The suspects shot the three brothers, killing one.
. . . may I never have to use them.
