Re: NASCAR Sprint Cup "NRA 500': coming to Texas Motor Speed
Fox definitely spent the day avoiding the word "NRA" in their promos and pre-race coverage. Also, several sponsors told their drivers not to be photographed under any sign that had "NRA" on it. Even worse, NASCAR said in one article that they'll now review their guidelines for tracks to choose sponssoship deals.
Sad.
Sad.

I love this. I hope they double their membership in one weekend. I've never been to a NASCAR race, but I can see the speedway from my upstairs home office window. I've been using the races the last couple of weeks as a background for my Sunday afternoon naps. . . still not what you'd consider a devoted fan, but the intrigue has been growing. . . and this will definitely get me to tune in.Article wrote:The National Rifle Association will sponsor the NASCAR Sprint Cup event in Texas on April 13, Texas Motor Speedway President Eddie Gossage announced Monday.
The race will be called the NRA 500 and will be run during prime time.
