I mean more the Appearance... he has some kind of moccasin looking book, brown leather looking pants, big suspenders that he had knife sheaths attached up and down. Big round uncreased/unrolled cowboy hat. It was a mountain man kind of look.dcbrown wrote:wgoforth wrote:I would say.... or some kind of mountain man from Montana or the like.rp_photo wrote:Ol' Merle is a living example of how the "sophisticated" Liberals from the east and west coasts love to stereotype Southerners and Texans.
Nah, he is not from Montana. With that attitude, he more than likely would not of lived long enough to get out of Montana.
For what it is worth, I was raised in Montana.

Re: Gun stores that don't allow CHL carry
After he ranted that you can carry on your person without a CHL, but that a CHL just limits where you can carry, he went on to tell me about a cop arresting him for not having a CHL but he showed them the state constitution and they let him go. He also said that there is no such thing as concealed carry, that carry means your holding it and therefore we're all just stupid....texanjoker wrote:I'll bet he has a CHL...wgoforth wrote:Just don't get creeped out! Re: Gun stores that don't allow CHL carry
Seriously, as scarey and anti-gvt as this guy is (he called ME a liberal) he'd prolly shoot any fed that came in. Kinda puts you in mind of a less friendly looking version of Victor French in Little House on the Prairie, complete with mountain man clothing.Thomas wrote:From what I hear, the IRS loves anonymous tips.rm9792 wrote:I was actually thinking along those lines. Wow, just googled on his store and here was a review on Yellow Pages confirming my comment (I didn't write it!):Luggo1 wrote:And so ol' Merle figures this sign assures him of that does he? "Worst experience, worst customer service, horible owner with no people skills. Murle is mean, rude and unprofessional, he treats his customers like crap and threatens them when questioned. His specialty is surfing the internet and writing fake reviews for him self. Normally they are short and sweet, saying how great he is and how much they respect him for his way of doing business. Do NOT fall for this propaganda... murle... your not fooling anyone. For those who do venture in, DO NOT bring children... he is a dangerous unstable man. DO NOT ask questions and for God's sake, do not carry if you have a CHL... he will call the police and take your gun. HE IS CRAZY. "

Re: Gun stores that don't allow CHL carry
Along with a 30.06 he has a hand written sign that says something like "Yes this means no CHL. I will have you prosecuted."Keith B wrote:Wow, can't believe a store would bite the hand that feeds them. Re: Gun stores that don't allow CHL carry
Well, he must be independently wealthy as he has (had) a huge inventory but you never see any customers. He is a huge, mountain man looking guy with knives clipped up and down his suspenders. He is a scarey dude.Keith B wrote:Wow, can't believe a store would bite the hand that feeds them. Nope, gun dealers that sit behind 2-way mirrored glass and tell people that "without a CHL you can carry anywhere but with a CHL you can only take it some places, and your an idiot to get one" doesn't need my buisness!
