The renewals that came through would often shoot tea-cupping, thumb behind slide, rearing back, etc. Usually saying prior instructor didn't teach anything about shooting, only tested proficiency. I have yet to have even an experienced student who didn't tell me they learned something that helped them handle a firearm better in regards to grip, stance, trigger control or follow through. Had experienced shooters who thought they were right eye dominant learn they were left eyed and tightened their groupings.
