Re: This was never going to happen to me.....

I too had a PT111 Pro 9mm, great gun. Got tired of trying locally to find a descent holster for less than $50.00 to carry with me IWB. I got fed up and ultimately traded it up so I could get me a hunting rifle. It was a great gun, shot wonderfully, and concealed great.... with the right holster.

I've heard great things about the CTAC as well as the CrossBreed. Mark Craig is actually a forum sponsor on XDTalk, and has a lot of info (FAQs) and is quite personable for the most part about the holsters he manufactures. They are in all forms, as the holster portion is kydex material, riveted to a horse hide or cow hide leather backing. His holsters can be made to most any firearm on the market to date, and has them for the Taurus PT111 Pro as well as the 145.

I'm not advertising for another forum, but at least you could browse around his forum store to get an idea about the holster and any complaints (which I'm sure are because people do not carry them all that frequently).

I will look into a PT111 Pro again if I could get the magazines for about 15$ cheaper where I am locally (and shipping from internet sites right now is ridiculous).

I may just stay with the XD SC since that's what I have for the magazine issue... but nonetheless... CTAC/MTAC (sorry) are great, and so are the Don Hume. I'd say find some folks on here that live near ya, set up a group shoot, and try out the holsters yourself :)

Good excuse to get out and meet like minded individuals and shoot some paper!
