I am pretty sure previous disccusions have indicated that whereas State Statues previously prohibited carrying in a amusement park, hospital, church, etc, now they have to post a 30.06 sign to prevent CHL holders from carrying on premise.bauerdj wrote:I believe, if the area of the amusment park is over 75 acres, that carrying is prohibited even without the 30.06 sign. SplashTown, which is also owned by 6 Flags is less then 75 acres, and I do not believe they are 30.06 posted at all. Course it might be a little challanging to carry in a waterpark!

Went yesturday to Six Flags in Arlington. Right before the metal detector, there is a huge, very nicely done, sign that is 30.06 compliant. It is a stone plaque that is about 5 feet tall by 4 feet wide. It has 30.06 in English and Spanish, with a light brown stone color background and black lettering.Braden wrote:Take Six Flags for instance. They have a cast bronze sign. The background is dark bronze and the raised lettering is polished. Technically speaking, that probably is not considered contrasting colors, but it's still plenty easy to read and I won't be going in Six Flags carrying a gun because of it.
So before you make that long walk to the park entrance from the Parking lot, leave all weapons and knives in the car :-)
I had to run back.
