Welcome, it's a great board.Samurai Blur wrote: I would just like to know, how difficult is the range test?
Sorry about your friends.
To answer the question, NOT AT ALL!. Hope that's clear enough.
If your 85% shooting is after you've "emptied" the wine bottles, just leave that step off on test day and you should pull 100%.
You have to shoot varying amounts of rounds at 3, 7, & 9? yards.
The only kicker to someone relatively new to shooting is there are multi-shot, timed rounds were you'll have for example 15 seconds to shoot 5 rounds at X distance. What happens when the instructor says "fire", many people get caught up in the sudden rush of gun fire and pull off 5 rounds rapidly which they can't do accurately. To quote of a friend, "Use all the time you need, don't waste any". Three seconds per round is alot of time.
If you don't already know this, if you qualify with a revolver, you will NOT be licensed to carry a pistol. Qualify with a pistol and you can carry either, or both if your belt/ankle is strong enough. To quote another, close personal friend, Just Do It. You'll be fine.
May as well have your girlfriend take it at the same time, that way ya'll can be each others backup. I take tactical handgun training. If your taught be truely knowledgable people, that can be a huge asset.
Good luck
