I just got back from the Pasadena Gun Show and I heard this same drivel. I had to explain this was false and it never was a bill that made it to the floor anywhere.
The more time a rumor is circulated, the more people seem to believe it's fact. Even when someone is presented with the facts, they chose not to believe it.

The "If it's too bad or ridiculous to be true it probably isn't." quote may need looking into. Have you watched Glenn Beck lately? "rlol"
