Re: It finally happened. I dropped my gun.
I laughed when I saw everyone posting, "Must not have been a Glock!" Yeah, I'm partial to 1911s. I don't like polymer frames AT ALL; I've got to have a heavy weapon. Also, I do not carry a purse, ever. I hate them. I carry a wallet in my back pocket and my phone in the other pocket. I als...

Re: POLL: What Caliber You Carried Most In 2010?
yeah, I was surprised there aren't more .380ACP's up there. maybe no one wants to admit that's what they're carrying ;-) :biggrinjester: I was fixin' to say the same thing. I see more people with LCP's and P3AT's than anything else. What I have found is a lot of people that carry EVERYDAY...

Re: What did you get for Christmas?
I got to hang out with almost my whole family for a weekend. It was good times!
As for gifts, I got a variety of gift cards, a Kindle, and the best of all, a Smith & Wesson combat knife, I believe it was the Homeland Security model.

To the OP:
Completely and totally and unforgivably off topic, but....
When you're up at Choctaw, and you're hanging out around the pool or the breezeways or the spa, and you see all the really cool stone work that's been done...
I sold all the stone up there.

Re: S&W Performance Center Thunder Ranch
I know I am lusting after the performance center MD-627 V-8 myself. That is one amazing wheel gun. The weight, the style/finish, the sights, the comp...every thing about that gun makes me want it. And a side note...anything less than $900 on that one is a deal in my eyes. I am in agreement with you...

Re: Shooting with only prescription eyeglasses
I once took a .45 slug ( the whole slug) to the thigh once in an indoor range. Running drills, with blue plastic barrels as barriers to partially obscure targets. The best we can figure is that a shot hit a barrel, and it penetrated, and whizzed around the interior losing velocity. Then in a one-in-...

S&W Performance Center Thunder Ranch
Anyone have any experience with them? I found the V-Comp .357 8-shot revolver for $850 +tax, and one of the .45ACP's (6 shot) for $825 +tax. I'm intrigued by both of them. I'm digging the .357 due to the weight, how it feels in my hand, the 5" barrel, and having 8 shots. I'm also leaning toward...

Droshi, depending on where you are, there are some ranges that do all inclusive classes.
Red River Firearms in Sherman TX does everything at their facility. Class, shooting qualification, fingerprinting, the whole enchilada.

I'm relatively sure I saw you at Wal-Mart.
EDIT: Then again, there were quite a few costumed crusaders out when I was out, so maybe it was someone else.
Either way, congrats!!

Re: caught twice in a day
My grandfather remarried last summer. At the church, before the ceremony started, I could hear my uncle from across the room mention to someone (no idea who) that I always have a gun on me and odds were that I had a gun on me right then. I immediately checked my concealment, and all was good. I gues...

Re: I have a problem.
I also highly recommend the following: 1. Bring the gun over to my house and lock it my safe for a while - 2 to 3 weeks minimum - to see if you really can live without it. 2. If you can live without it, then give it to me for permanent safe-keeping.... ....in case you ever change your mind. 3. If y...
