You took your class the same day as me...I mailed my application on 1/31, and 79 days later recieved my license in the mail.

Checked the mail when I got home yesterday....I am now officially licensed to carry a concealed handgun!!

79 days from the day I mailed the application until the day I got the license. So, for all you guys who are close to the same numbers.....keep those fingers crossed, it shouldn't be too long.

Day 77 today on Saturday, April 18th......checked the texasonline website....


Certificate Active/License Issued!!!


I'm happier than a.....well, lets just say I'm happy.

So, is there any idea of how long until I should have plastic in hand?

I'm on day 75 right now....from the day I mailed the application. I'm glad to see that some are down in the 78-86 day range...maybe that'll be the same for me.

I'm in Grayson County, so I don't know if that has any impact on the process at all.

Lol, you are the third person to tell me where the quote came from since I've been registered on this forum....but the first to do it in such detail.

I still leave it the way it is in my sig though, because I also like the way it sounds with "but I like the way it sounds" following it.


How long should it take to get my PIN number from the DPS?? It's only been 10 days since I mailed the application, so I'm probably getting a little anxious.

Took the class last January on the 24th....mailed my packet and all off on the 31st.

I was wondering if any one with any similar dates had already recieved their PIN number?

I haven't heard anything from the DPS, good or bad.
