Fact is not all officers or soldiers share the same interpretation of the Second Amendment as those who would participate on this board. And it seems to me that many cops from many parts of this country, such as Kalifornia, New Jersey, Chicago, or Washington D.C., would have no problem with the idea of confiscating firearms from anyone not wearing a uniform. There are also those who don't believe in such things in privacy and honestly don't believe in the 4th Amendment either because "if you aren't doing anything wrong, you shouldn't have anything to hide." No, these folks shouldn't be cops or soldiers but, they are and they believe the only way to keep people safe is to disarm them, and herd them around for random inspection like sheep. Well, last time I checked, that's called jail and we all know just how safe it is to be in jail.srothstein wrote:I have taken the oath to defend the Constitution several times. I will keep my word.
One of the reasons I am not too worried about the ban and confiscation is that MOST cops would not enforce or obey it. I was surprised so many did during Katrina, and I do not think that as many would without the excuse of the disaster. I see lots of yellow papers blowing out patrol car windows when the order to confiscate comes out.
