Plastic in hand!

9 months elapsed time.

Applied January 2009
September 3rd 2009 - "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active"

Just have to wait for the actual Plastic in hand now.

And now we are in September 2009... and I applied in January 2009... "Processing Application"...

Interestingly, I have current CHLs from CT & FL, never even been arrested, went through the US Citizenship process in 2008 with full background checks etc., never had a delay on a NICS check... go figure...

So still waiting... No offence to anyone but Texas CHL process sucks

Emailed "Ms. Heather Brumett" of DPS on June 16th. Received the following reply June 17th

"I have pulled your application upon reviewing it I found that the required statutory background checks are not complete. I see you have licenses from other states, our background process has to be completed by the department’s designee, and we can not use information from another states license process. I have contacted the section working on your application and requested that your information be expedited. I can not give you a definite date but I will keep on eye on your application processing. Thank you for your continued patience."

Emailed her again on July 13th - no reply to date :(

Still waiting - "Processing Application" - see sig for details :(

Cajundude and I did the course together and mailed in (via UPS) our applications a week apart. Mine still says "Processing Application" :(
