Re: February Applications
Finally, Plastic in hand. :hurry: First mailed to DPS the first week of February. Lived in Harris and Galveston Counties. State reps aid (Larry Taylor) was very helpful in calling the counties to enquire about what the holdup on the bg checks were. Now, I have to get the addressed changed because I ...

Re: February Applications
Don't recall the exact dates but sent in the fully completed application around the 2nd of Feb. Money came out of my account Feb 14. Called approximately March 10th because I had not even received my pin yet. Got letter with Pin three days later. Checked Web site and saw Application Processing. Wait...

Will a Lien Stop my CHL
In the process of applying for a home loan I discovered that I had a lien on some unemployment taxes ($11.54) that had not been paid. The payment was made and I have a letter from the Texas Workforce Commission stating such but the release of lien has to be filed at the local court house. I will mai...

If you have a degree (preferably masters) in psychology, social work or related field I could probably use you. Any counseling or psychological testing experience?

Carrying At My Office
I am still waiting for CHL. Probably 30 days to go. But my understanding is that I can carry at my office. It is my business and I rent and control the premises. However, it is in an office building that has other offices rented by other tenants. Am I right in how I understand the law? And do I have...

Re: Lee Liquid Alox - Method for Avoiding Sticky Press Dies?
I have used the liquid Alox for years. I haven't had the gumming up problem. But then I run all my cast bullets through a sizer prior to seating them. I think that gives me a more uniforn and accurate bullet. I use the Lee sizer. I have been doing .38s and .45s. While it is one more step, the wife m...

Re: Church Carry - Reciprocity Question
You all really missed the point. Just put an extra $20 in the plate and you can carry concealed. A $100 and you can open carry.

Re: Protester rally supporting Oakland cop killer!!
What a tragidy! My prayers go out to the families of the officers and those who want to make this a race war. It is hard to understand how someone with such a history of violence is allowed to walk the streets. We need more tolerance for differences and less tolerance for violent behavior. Unfortuna...

Re: Carrying at an INS checkpoint
Srothstein, thank you for the sitation. And I agree - The question is - Is it unreasonable? Not to me. And apparently not to the legislator, courts and government agencies we elected or organized as a free society. If others think it is unreasonable, I am OK with that. What I have a hard time with i...

Re: CHLer shootout with burger king robber
IF you are carrying, you have already made the decision to be a sheep dog and not a sheep so next you have to decide how far you are willing to go when the activity may not be directed AT you. You also have to make up your mind what is important enough that you are willing to take a human life. I w...
