Will a Lien Stop my CHL
In the process of applying for a home loan I discovered that I had a lien on some unemployment taxes ($11.54) that had not been paid. The payment was made and I have a letter from the Texas Workforce Commission stating such but the release of lien has to be filed at the local court house. I will mail it tomorrow because I can't take time off work to drive it into Houston. It is not under my social security number but my Federal ID # for the business. I am on day 83 in the waiting process. I work in Harris county and live in Galveston County. If the background check happens before the court gets the letter or it does not get recorded before the background check happens could this stop the approval of the license?
