Besides, a belt is another resource. Cordage is a sailor's best friend, a heavy strap is bound to be useful in some circumstances, too.

Like you spin a main bearing. Drop the pan on the side of the road, use your knife to shave down a section of your belt to fit, torque the bearing cap down against the leather - just sayin', a belt can be useful in a pinch.

im 35 my pants are always up on my hips and my underwear never shows. you are thinking of another group that like to advertise they are "available".i mostly wear shorts and properly fitting shorts dont need a belt. and the only people i ever see wearing a belt with shorts are over the age of atleast 50.
