All of 'em, would be my advice! Each group has a different group of individuals, and each match has a slightly different flavor. With the cross-pollination of members between the groups, you will always find at least *someone* you recognize!

And you'll always be among friends.

Look forward to seeing you on the range

Re: Houston area IDPA

Thunder and WHIDPA are both great weekly outdoor practice matches, with great people and are very open to new shooters.

If you don't mind indoor, Shiloh Tactical Shooters also runs practice matches every Thursday night beginning at 7:00PM at Shiloh Indoor Range. As a new shooter, try to arrive at 6:30 for orientation.

I heard rumors about an outdoor group somewhere in the Humble area on Tuesday nights, but I don't know whether they got off the ground or not. I personally haven't made one of their matches yet.

We have an abundance of IDPA shooting clubs in the Houston area, and I see a great deal of cross-pollination between the shooters in the various leagues. You can shoot IDPA style easily 3-4 days a week and nearly any weekend you want to in the area!

I'll try to pull my calendar entries and figure out how to get them up here into something useful.
