I was outed yesterday while shopping at a department store with my wife and kids. My 5 yr old was walking with my wife when out of nowhere, as 5 yr olds often do, she decides to run back to me (I was a few feet behind them with my son) to give me a big ole hug. She inadvertently hit her hear on my right side, where I have my EMP .40 in a IWB crossbreed holster. I saw what she did and proceeded to ask her if she was ok when she starts saying (rather loudly) "Daddy, I hit my head on your gun!". I told her, without making a big deal, to be quiet, but she kept on and on and on until I finally kneeled down and gave her a big old bear hug so I could tell her in her ear that she needed to stop repeating what she was saying. When she finally got it I explained to her that her mommy, her and I were the only ones that needed to know that I had a gun on me. After that she ran back to her mom and not another word was said. I never thought my own daughter would be the one, LOL. Gotta love kids sometimes.

By the way, I don't think anyone around us really noticed what was happening. Amazing how oblivious most people are when they are out and about.
