ha! when I was young, my friends and I were REALLY into supersoakers. Not the little ones they have now, but the old school stuff like the XP & CPS series. I used to cut the pictures carefully out of gun magazines - I quickly learned (after the application of some chastisement to my stern) only to do that after dad had had a chance to read them first - and pasted them into my "gun scrapbooks" with all the relevant data carefully printed underneath - weight, length, height, magazine capacity, caliber, etc - so I could pore over them again and again.
I don't know how many books I made, but I think my mom still has them :)
Took me until I was a bit older to start doing the same thing with guns.
