: Got a call today from mary ann at the dps office and my back ground checks have come in and my license is being issued and should get it in 7 to 10 days only took 107 days to get this far.

Well they must not be working to hard mine still says processing application (105 days to day)

Well even after i got a call from dps and they said they were expiditing my application immediately, because Representative Larry Talyor office had called them about the email i sent his office. That was a week ago and now i'm on day 100 and still processing app so much for the exppiditing.

I sent a email to Senator Jackson of Galvenston county and this is what i got:

So i call the Pasadena office and talked to a lady named Barbara and she said to send her the email and this is the response i got from her.

Thank you for contacting our office regarding your CHL application. the TxDPS has a backlog due to the increase of applications. It is taking longer to get the background checks completed in a timely manner. They got behind during Ike. However, I will check on the status and let you know something asap.

I also sent one to Representative Larry Talyor but have not recieved anything from him yet. Going on 91 days as of today.??

UPDATE:
I got a call from Repersentative Larry Talyor office today from one of the reperesentatives liaison and he told me he had contacted DPS. About 20 mins later I got a call from the DPS office , and they said they were expiditing my application immediately, because the rep had called them about my email. Thank you to Representative Larry Talyor office.

I called DPS 4/16 and was told that Brazoria and Harris background checks were still not back and got the hurricane story.
