Re: HB 1927 on the Senate floor now

Eric Brakey, a former Maine legislator who'd sponsored Maine's CC bill, posted on FB yesterday (on the Gun Owners of Maine page) that Gov Abbott would be signing the CC bill this Thursday. No link to a corroborating source, though, so take it with a grain or three of salt.

I say that he should sign it at the West Freeway Church of Christ in White Settlement. That would make a statement!
Great idea

Re: Computer won't recognize new harddrive

Does the BIOS setup of the computer see the new drive? Have you tried booting with only two or three drives connected, instead of five?

Glad Sen. Whitmire isn't grandstanding and yelling, at least. Always boggles my mind how far apart we are in our perceptions of the effects of these bills.

If an abusive husband was willing to beat (and kill?) his wife/ex-wife, re: domestic violence concerns, he's not going to refrain from carrying his pistol because of a protective order. :banghead:

I can see John Whitmire pacing around in the background, this pro-carry discussion is like fingernails on a blackboard for him

Sadly, he's my senator :-/ He will never change his spots on gun control.

Live feed starting shortly. Not sure how deep into the day before HB1927 comes up. I don't think they necessarily go in order but on the intent calendar it's the last item on a 5 page list. https://tlcsenate.granicus.com/MediaPlayer.php?view_id=5&event_id=3863 Hm, it doesn't LOOK like there's a...

You mean decreased......
'they actually increase over time' is referring to carry permit applications, not crime.
