It was definitely a great time. I have to say I really enjoyed shooting hi-power's HI-POWER!! Love that pistol. It was a dream to shoot. I just seem to have fat hands and they get bit by that hammer. Still, with one hole downrage, that's one thing I can overlook!!!
Piney's Glocks confirmed my need to get one again. I have yet to add one to the stable, but they point very well for me and that 34 was simply awesome. I could definitely see me using one of those for IDPA.
These are truly some great guys. I hope to see Piney again soon and I know hi-power will be at some local matches!!!!
The .45 they're talking about is a rare acquisition. It's a Beretta Cougar 8045F "Cat Pack". I didn't have the LAPD long barrel or the special edition grips on it at the range, but here's what it looks like with those installed. It was incredibly nice with my first 8 shot group being one small, ragged hole. Very impressive on recoil management as well. Felt more like some +p 9mm.

Dang...............hopefully that classifier will be rescheduled soon. I'm getting IDPA withdrawals. Went though about 1000 rounds of dry fire last night. At least it's cheaper!!hi-power wrote:Edited to add: The IDPA match tomorrow at Elm Fork has just been cancelled, according to the DAPS website.
I'm a member at Bullet Trap.......not sure how many guests I can sign in, but I can get you for sure, HP.

FJM bulk rifle ammo is easy to come by but hard to find a place to shoot it at. I think APG out in Greenville will allow it though. Not 100% on that, call before you go. Elm Fork has a nice range and I'd like to see what I can get out of my AR at 100yds. As far as I know, all ranges will allow FMJ pistol ammo.

I'd be interested. I typically shoot IDPA wed/sat at Elm Fork and live in Plano. Might be best to just pick a spot. There's also a new range out in Greenville (APG) but it's probably not too close for most. (45 min NE of Plano). Let us know where you decide to hold the get together and I'll show up, for sure...........Heck, we could even pick a place to meet (LOL......grapevine mills mall) and just shoot the breeze.
