all:
On Monday, 10/5, during Mark Davis' show, I happen to be off and will be able to listen
to the whole show from start to finish.
I am going to attempt to call in to the show, if they will be taking callers. (I'm not a listener
to this show, so I'm not sure of his format).
If I get through, I will try to fight my nervousnes and try to make a cogent argument against
what the State Fair people are doing. I will probably be introduced as "______ from Lewisville."
Although there is a variety of ways that we can make our displeasure known to the State Fair
contacts, it would be great if any and all of us forum members can try to call in to the show.
For anyone who might be able to get through, please try to mention Texashchlforum.com and maybe
your screen name if you think it appropriate.
Although we are hot under the collar about this outrage, try to keep your voice calm and rational.
We may be gun nuts in one sense, but our image to the WBAP audience should be one of studied knowlege of
our Texas CHL statutes.

You rock on armed brother, with this crusade to preserve our CHL rights at the State Fair.
We are all very appreciative of your principled stand at the State Fair gate, and your determined
followthrough after the fact. Without you opening this thread, the rest of us would be in the dark.
All on the forum:
Gemini has truly done the rest of us a service by fighting for what is right.
WBAP, AM 820, will air Mark Davis' show on Monday from 830 AM to 1100 AM, Central Time.
WBAP is a DAllas station. I have no idea if he's syndicated to any other Texas radio stations.
Wherever you are, you can listen over the 'net at http://www.WBAP.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Click on "Listen Live"
in the upper right corner of their home page. It may take a minute to kick in w/ the audio.
There are many forum members who have contributed to this thread, who we usually
do not get postings from. That's because this subject is near and dear to everyone's
heart. I'm glad to see many members here riled up about this affront to our rights.
As an NRA member, this is the type of thing I joined for - NRA resources may very well
be used to help us out here. NRA's got the lawyers who can take the State FAir to the
woodshed.
TSRA - I'm sure they'll help out too, but I am not as familiar with them.

So sorry that you had this bad problem at the State Fair.
Elsewhere on the forum, someone had asked about State Fair carry, and the
response was that you just had to show your CHL to the cop on the Q.T., then you
could go in. Your experience was quite an eyeopener.
Good luck with your legal actions against the State Fair.
Plus, your post is a great heads up to those of us who were considering going
armed to the State Fair.
