Re: Hornady Critical Defense amunition
Well, 115 FMJ works fine - Law enforcement routinely goes with the 147 gr rounds for better penetration. But, I do have some 147 grain WWB JHP - and they do work perfectly aim wise too. Now, I had some 115 gr gold dots - and those too shot at a different point of aim. Strainge how 115 FMJ works fine...

Re: Hornady Critical Defense amunition
I tried the 115 gr 9mm in my Beretta 92FS - the POA/POI was not where I wanted it to be - I'm still using 124 gr hydrashoks, as the gun seems to shoot it more accurately. And, I plan to try out some 124 gr golddots soon. I wanted to like the Critical Defense round - but apparently my main carry gun ...

Re: Wilson Polymer 9mm 1911
Nice, but I don't know that I would pay $2k for it,
I do have an Ed Brown 1911. however, a polymer 1911 for $2k+? That's high.

Re: Texas law and long guns
I have a CHL, so I can own the rifle. I was just making sure it would be okay. I thought it was, but wasn't sure if it had to be unloaded.

Texas law and long guns
I believe Texas law allows a person to have a long gun in their vehicle - even concealed, correct?
Does it allow that rifle to be loaded, in the vehicle?
I was thinking of getting a truck gun, but keeping it loaded and concealed.

Re: WTB - Hogue 1911 Palm Swell grip panels
I have seen them forsale on many websites. But the damn shipping costs almost as much as the grips. I don't want to pay $9-$12 on shipping for $12.95 grips. That is why I am looking to buy a set from a person who may not want theirs...

Re: High price at Collectors
Well, I went ahead and bough a SF thru Top Gun Supply.com - I've bought many things from him over the years.
I prefer to see a gun in person, but he was nice enough to take some pics of it for me, and some close ups in areas I specified. I should have it Fri or Sat. It'll ship today!

Re: High price at Collectors
Thanks for that info. I've been wanting to try holding some STIs, but I never see anyone in this area who carries them. Thanks.

Re: High price at Collectors
Well, I want to pay with a Credit card - and places like Gunslingers take cash only. Can you pay Ed Brown directly and then have them ship to ANY FFL?

Re: High price at Collectors
No, I don't see a rush on Semi custom 1911s to the level there was on stuff like AR15's a few months ago. I know they can charge what they want - but its not like I asked them to go down BELOW MSRP.

High price at Collectors
Always have seen higher prices at Collectors. Everyone sells BELOW MSRP usually, and Collectors typically sells at that price point. However, I went to buy an Ed Brown Special Forces today. They are charging $200 above MRSP. I tried to get them to come down to at least MSRP - they wouldn't do it. He...
