I was one of those that let it lapse for a year.

It was a combination of not receiving notice of renewal, and just being a dumb*ss.

Took the whole thing over in November (with the honey this time!).

It WILL NOT expire again, I can assure you.

I've been scratching my head for a couple days trying to think of a place that's been "properly" posted in accordance with 30.06. I've been in Houston, Texas since 1991, when I retired from the Army, and can't recall a single place! I've heard Taco Cabana but I don't eat Mexican. I heard T...

Did they say why there was so much difference in completion times?
They said they were waiting for my backgrounds to be completed. "And be patient."

Thanks. I knew that they had a class, but don't have any knowledge of the quality of the class. Do Thunder Gun Range or Gun Emporium offer CHL classes? I also know about Carter's Country, does anyone know how thier class is? My wife and I took our class at Carter's Country in November. Excellent! B...

I had to go to HPD to run a records check last week. They've taken the officers off security on the front door, and now they have overweight, civilian contract-security, 60 old women doing the screening. The Hispanic gentleman in front of me, with four loud mouthed kids, and his wife, told the woman...

My wife actually prefers shooting her P3AT to shooting her Glock 26.

I've now "inherited" the G26, and carry it daily in my Galco ankle "glove".

The wife got her CHL in 58 days. Mine, which was submitted the same day, took 88 days. I did get a nice call at the office from Dana at DPS saying the application had been approved and the license was in the mail.
